In the last article we covered Alzheimer’s and how RSO can be beneficial to it. For information on all the ailments Rick Simpson oil can help with please take a look at or FAQ’s section and also our Rick Simpson Oil research paper!
What is Parkinson’s?
Parkinson’s disease can be a chronic disease of the nervous system that results in loss of alleged movements and impaired motor functioning. Symptoms of Parkinson’s disease affect the body’s rapid and natural changes and may be challenging to perform daily activities such as speaking, walking, swallowing, and sleeping accurately.
With Parkinson’s, the world of the brain that controls muscle movements receives fewer monoamine neurotransmitters than usual. Dopamine is an important chemical needed not only to regulate body movements but also things like learning, increased motivation, and mood control.
When the cell unit of monoamine neurotransmitters breaks down, they begin to show signs of Parkinson’s disease. This is one of the reasons why depression and alternative mood swings generally affect those with Parkinson’s.
Can Rick Simpson Oil Cure Parkinson’s?
While Rick Simpsons Oil becomes legal in multiple U.S. states in other countries, doctors and researchers are looking more closely at the potential benefits of Rick Simpsons oil for Parkinson’s disease. Unfortunately, many of the common drugs designated for Parkinson’s patients also have significant and adverse side effects that are not present in Rick Simpsons oil. Cannabis oil offers a combination of anti-anxiety, antioxidant, and pain relief in a single treatment!
Clinical Evidence for RSO and Parkinson’s.
Among many research and academic papers related to the benefits of Rick Simpsons oil for Parkinson’s disease, Sevcik J and Masek K., of the Institute of Pharmacological Medicine, Academy of Sciences of the European country, Prague said: “Cannabinoids could alleviate some parkinsonian symptoms with their extraordinary modulating action mediated by the receptor inside the exit nuclei of the ganglia”.
Also, some cannabinoids have recently been observed to be potent antioxidants that can protect neurons from death even without activating the cannabinoid receptor. It appears that cannabinoids can delay or perhaps stop the progressive degeneration of brain dopaminergic systems, a process for which there is currently no prevention. In combination with medicine presently in use, cannabinoids could represent, qualitatively, a new approach to the treatment of Parkinson’s disease, making it more effective.
“Some comparisons have been made on how Rick Simpsons Oil can help reduce the side effects caused by some drugs for Parkinson’s disease. Research, since 2001, has examined the role of cannabinoids in overcoming dyskinesia caused by levodopa. The results of the comparison suggested that nabilone, a cannabinoid receptor agonist, could minimize involuntary movements associated with the use of levodopa. Research has shown that cannabis and its established neuroprotective effects effectively slow the progression of the disorder by overcoming the excitotoxicity, glial activation, and oxidative damage that ultimately destroy the neurons that release dopamine.
In 2013, an Australian laboratory printed a comparison using the UPDRS (Unified Parkinson’s Disease Rating Scale), which measures the severity of disease symptoms. This laboratory found that cannabinoids in Rick Simpsons oil had a positive effect on tremors, muscle stiffness, and akinesia (loss of body movement). Observative research from 2014 looked at the impact that Rick Simpsons Oil had on both non-motor and motor symptoms of Parkinson’s.
The study involved twenty-two patients who were evaluated using a battery of tests both before and thirty minutes after taking the Rick Simpsons Oil rice seed dose. Most patients had a significant improvement in their control scores. Additionally, patients reported an increase in motor symptoms such as bradykinesia, tremors, and stiffness. Conclusion Specialists said that Rick Simpsons Oil created a “significant” improvement in the symptoms suffered by the study subjects, including stiffness, tremors, and pain, drastically reduced and higher resting capacity. The patients also reported that the consequences lasted up to 3 hours.
