Cannabis extract fights the “incurable form” of leukaemia.

An extraordinary case documents a 14-year-old girl who, after 34 months of chemotherapy, radiotherapy and bone marrow transplant treatments, was abandoned for death. His family discovered research on cannabis extract and, before dying from a secondary complication of his initial surgery, he successfully used it to put leukaemia in remission.

We have covered many areas which RSO can be a great help and even a great cure for. We have recently written posts on Cancer, Arthritis, Diabetes, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and many more at Our Blog.

There are many anecdotal reports on the successful use of cannabis in the treatment of cancer. Still, few cases occur under regular medical supervision, and practically no one turns it into a peer-reviewed biomedical journal as a clinical case.

Surprisingly, however, just one such case was reported in Case of Reports in Oncology last year and involved a 14-year-old girl. She was diagnosed with a form of white blood cell cancer known as acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.

Despite a high remission rate after five years of over ninty percent in children and 30 to 40% in adults using conventional combination chemotherapy; this particular child was diagnosed with a very aggressive (i.e. resistant to traditional treatment) form of ALL (positive for Philadelphia chromosomal mutation).

After undergoing a prolonged series of unsuccessful conventional treatments over 34 months; including a bone marrow transplant, aggressive chemotherapy and radiation therapy. The girl’s case was pronounced “incurable”, with the patient’s haematologist/oncologist stating who “suffers from terminal malignant disease”, expecting his condition to progress rapidly towards death.

Since the family received no other treatment suggestions other than palliative care, they decided to research on their own, stumbling upon an article published in Nature Reviews: Cancer in 2003 entitled “Cannabinoids: Potential Anticancer Agents”, which encouraged to administer oral cannabinoid extracts to the patient. According to the clinical case:

The family found an organization known as Phoenix Tears; it looked very promising, led by Rick Simpson who waswell know for treating several cancers with his cannabis oil extract, as we refer to as Rick Simpson Oil. Rick even worked with the family to assist them to prepare and make the extract.

With the assistance of Rick Simpson, the family used cannabis oil extract for the next 78 days, with regular monitoring of the outbreak cell count, the leading indicator of the malignant progression of the disease process.

The following figure shows the successful suppression of burst cells using cannabis extract.

The cannabis extract has been effective in inhibiting the uncontrolled proliferation of girl’s leukaemia, without the highly toxic side effects of conventional treatment.

Unfortunately, on day 78, the 14-year-old died of bleeding associated with intestinal perforation and ultimately, the lasting side effects of the 34 months of aggressive treatment she had undergone before cannabis.

In the discussion part of the report, authors noted the following:

“The results shown cannot be attributed to the” spontaneous remission “because a dose-response curve was reached … Other therapies cannot explain these results since the child was undergoing palliative care and was exclusively being treated with cannabinoids when the SickKids hospital documented the response. Toxicology reports excluded chemotherapy agents and showed it only positive for THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) when it had “a recent massive reduction in white blood cells from 350,000 to 0.3 “which induced tumour lysis syndrome, as reported by the primary haematologist/oncologist at SickKids Hospital.”

Leukaemia and Cannabis / Rick Simpson Oil

The authors of the study believe that this therapy should be seen as a “polytherapy”, because a wide range of cannabinoids has been found within the resin extract, which demonstrates a variety of anticancer properties, e.g. anti-angiogenic, anti-proliferative, etc. They also recognized the potential for the profound superiority of cannabinoid therapy over conventional treatments:

“It should be noted that where our most advanced chemotherapy agents failed to control the outbreak count and had devastating side effects that ultimately led to patient death, cannabinoid therapy had no toxic side effects and only psychosomatic properties. , with an increase in patient vitality. “
